• Maddie stepped aside a bit so I could get closer to both mother and child. The little one cooed. It was as though she were saying Hi to the adults who were staring adoringly at her.
• “She’s so precious!” I mumbled, having no idea when smiles crept to my lips. From the corner of my eyes, I saw Sarah’s husband staring from afar at his wife and baby adoringly. His actions suddenly reminded me of Shawn. My head was instantly filled with different memories of him talking about us having a baby.
