• Though five years had passed, Damien distinctly remembered that the woman he had slept with had a tattoo on the left side of her waist. Why wasn't it there now?
• Serena glanced up at him and suddenly noticed a faint trace of probing curiosity deep in his eyes. He hid it well, but Serena had always been exceptionally sensitive to such things. She was certain she hadn't imagined it.
