• I watched them walk away. As soon as they turned down a different hall, Rafael released my hand. I looked up at him. I didn’t need to hear what he was thinking to know he was very conflicted right now.
• “You can take off the robe now.” He said as he undid his own and pulled the sash over his head.
• I took off the sash, then undid the robe. “Oh, your necklace.” I reached behind me and felt for the clasp. Fumbling with it, I managed to undo it and held it out to him.
