  • The dining room was bigger than the soup kitchen on the southside. It should have been called a dining hall, not room. I sat in the chair and looked at the wall, at some point there had been portraits hanging there. Many, if the dark spots were any indication.
  • “Alona had them sent to the palace to be hung there again.” Autumn leaned closer and told me. “It was only proper, or something.”
