Chapter 15 Fourteen
- Avelyn let out a dramatic groan, dragging a fallen tree stick through the dirt as she absentmindedly scribbled her name on the ground. "Ugh... this is so boring. I can't believe I actually miss working. How tragic."
- A soft giggle suddenly echoed nearby, pulling her from her thoughts. "You talk funny, lady," a young voice chimed with amusement.
- Blinking, Avelyn looked up, her grumbling quickly replaced with curiosity. Standing before her was a small, well-dressed boy—no older than six or seven. His fine attire set him apart from common children; he was clearly of noble birth.
