Chapter 53 Skylar

• I groan and lift my hand to my head as it thumps. I have never had any alcohol before, so I wouldn’t know what a hangover felt like, but some of the runaways I had hanged with for at least a short time had and what I was feeling seemed to be what I saw in them and what they described it to feel like. However, I know that I didn’t drink anything yesterday that would warrant me having a hangover, so whatever was in that small dart I had pulled out of my neck must be the cause of it.
• I groan again as I stretch and then sit up. I am a little surprised that I am lying in a nice soft bed, however; I am grateful that I am alone. I throw off the blankets and notice that I am not in my jeans and blouse but in a long silk nightdress. I smile a little as I have never had anything so expensive anywhere near me, let alone actually on my body.
