Chapter 6

  • He watched her leave the chair silently after a while.
  • “Daddy, I’m full.” Roselet passed half sandwich to him.
  • “Learn to finish all your food, sweetheart,” Calvin said to her, but not to waste the food he ate it.
  • After an hour!!
  • “Calvin, I don’t want to eat this piece of cake anymore,” Roselet said, passing him a chocolate cake that he couldn’t deny, and ate that again. After that, Roselet went out to play with other pups.
  • “What are you preparing for lunch?” Calvin asked after taking a break from his work.
  • “Grandma Nelina!!” Roselet came running after playing with her friends. “Please give me some cookies and milk.”
  • “Rose, if you will eat those things now, then you won’t eat your lunch properly.”
  • “Please, Calvin!! I promise to eat my lunch properly.”
  • “Fine!! But you eat so many snacks.” Calvin said, on which Roselet pouted. After eating one cookie and half a glass of milk, she silently passed it to Calvin again, on which she received a glare from her dad this time.

  • At the time of lunch!!
  • Roselet made sure to finish each and everything on her plate while Calvin was playing with his food. He was already so full, and he hadn’t done any workout between morning to noon.
  • “See, Calvin. I kept my promise and finished my lunch.” She said proudly.
  • “Good. I’m proud of you.”
  • “But why are you not eating anything?”
  • “Because I’m not feeling so hungry,” Calvin replied, not blaming her who was the reason behind his situation. He sat to eat with her only to company her because not every day he used to get a chance to have lunch with her because of his work, of course.
  • “I know why?” Roselet said, nodding her head.
  • “Why?” Calvin asked in amusement, thinking she would take the blame for everything and might promise not to repeat the same.
  • “Because you ate so many snacks.” Roselet blamed him.
  • “What?” Calvin looked at the little devil in disbelief.
  • “Yes. Please finish all the food on your plate because we should waste the food.” Roselet said, more like ordered.
  • “Okay, Mommy.” Calvin agreed while both his wolf and he was amused by his love’s smartness.

  • Roselet yawned after Calvin placed her on the bed for an afternoon nap.
  • “Feeling sleepy already?” Calvin asked to which she nodded her head.
  • “Also, I’m feeling tired,” Roselet said, to which Calvin smiled and started pressing her tiny legs with the palms of his hand. “You’re the best daddy, Calvin.”
  • “And you’re the best daughter, love. Now sleep peacefully.”
  • After half an hour, Calvin left her room, closing the door silently. “Nelina, pack Rose’s luggage for a day. I have informed Caro; she will come here by evening to take Rose with her.”
  • “Okay. Does she know where you are going?”
  • “No. But she will understand on her own.” Calvin replied, walking away from there.
  • ‘Strange, father understands the unasked question of his daughter that where is her Mommy? And the daughter understands the sudden disappearance of her father that he went to search for her Mommy.’ Nelina thought.

  • “But where are we going?” Zordan asked when Calvin asked him to pack his clothes for the day and some necessary things that they might need on their trip.
  • “Can’t you just accompany me without asking anything?” Calvin questioned him back.
  • “Still, mate, I need to tell mom and dad about it. So that they will look after the pack in our absence.”
  • “Exactly. That’s the reason I’m not telling you, Zordy. Uncle Bruce is a good friend of dad, and he will vomit everything if he asks anything from Uncle Bruce.” Calvin responded.
  • “So, in short, you are not hiding the name of the place from me but from Uncle Brandon,” Zordan concluded and started using his mind to what could be the reason for hiding anything from Brandon Haysbert, Calvin’s father.
  • “You’re going somewhere where Uncle Brandon doesn’t want you to go because it is dangerous orrrrrr forbidden.” Immediately his eyes widened in shock when he realized where exactly his Alpha was planning to take him.
  • “We are going to Black council.” He asked more like stated, to which Calvin didn’t react anything. He took out the map and packed it in the bag. “Alpha, there can be chances that we will never return from that hellhole.”
  • “CHANCES!! It’s not confirmed, right?” Calvin reminded him. “And don’t forget that Liara stays there, so we might come out of there safely.”
  • “MIGHT? Seriously?” Zordan faked his laugh.
  • “I won’t force you to come with me then. Stay here and look after the pack. I’m going there for sure.” Calvin said, picking up his bag and walking out of the packhouse while Zordan followed him. Calvin threw his bag in the jeep, and he did the same.
  • Calvin raised his eyebrow; looking at him on which, he spoke, “I can’t stay here quietly, knowing that out there you’re going to hug the danger.”
  • “Come on! We will die together if we will have to.” Zordan said, grabbing the driving seat with a smile while deep down; both were scared of that place because they were going to the scariest place of werewolves places.
  • Black council, just like the name, it was all dark and the hub of the dark, evil, and heartless rouge werewolves where there was no basis for the rule. Only the powerful and strong werewolves could survive there.
  • Calvin felt a twist in his stomach, thinking that his beloved sister used to stay there. No one had kept any relation or connection with her for a while, and now he was going to land there all of a sudden.
