• "Where is the maiden?" I thundered at Mikel, who had sweat all over his face, his body shivering as he kept opening and closing his mouth without saying a word.
• It has been up to two hours since I sent for the lady who knew where Lillian and my child were. The lady who gave me hope and a reason to smile. I couldn't sleep well last night because I was thinking of meeting Lillian finally. Words can't explain how elated I was when I woke up to find out it was morning already.
