Chapter 47 A DAY OF REGRET

  • CHAPTER 47
  • A DAY OF REGRET
  • As soon as we reached town, the car stops and I got very excited to see the town of Lindenrogue. My eyes were scanning everywhere as soon as we walked around and I was surprised to see a different kind of town which was less chaotic than Vancouver and leas busier too though there were smiling people along the streets. This place looked serene, colorful and lively. The people seemed so happy, generous and kind to each other. Most of the people were curtsying as soon as they saw the princess and she seemed very polite to them. They were waving at Her Highness and she was happily smiling back at them too as Miss Gladys and a royal guard were following us. I doubt the public don't have the slightest idea of how a demonic creature she was to me when I first met her. She seemed so different when she is out in the public and facing people. She looks composed and prim. She must have practiced faking this many times because she seems to great at it, it's very convincing to see. Princess Margaret and I got inside an ice cream shop where Miss Gladys interpreted that this was the princess favorite ice cream place in town and was crowned as the most expensive ice cream in the Britain capital. She ordered her most favorite and the price was a whopping amount of £99 which makes it about $127 if my calculations are right. I can buy a lot of groceries with that. Hear this, it was on sale today yet it's still expensive! Here's the run down of the expensive ice cream – salted caramel gelato, a handmade cone dipped in rare criollo Madagascan dark chocolate whatsoever it is, gelato spheres of mango and passion fruit, a Belgian white chocolate truffle filled with salted caramel sauce,a raspberry sorbet macaroon decorated with white chocolate glaze and edible diamonds. Yes, there are freaking diamonds in her ice cream. And yes the diamonds are edible! Can you actually believe that! Edible diamonds? Never in my entire life have heard of that. Wait there's more which will totally blow your mind as it did with mine as soon as I read it. It was sprinkled with a 24-carat gold leaf, a freaking golden flake, and a golden spoon. Yes, it's that crazy. No wonder the price is this high. Princess Margaret ordered four, one for herself, for Miss Gladys, for the royal guard and one for me even though I told her she doesn't need to buy me one. Of course I wanted to taste a £ 99 kind of ice cream with edible diamonds and gold but it's too expensive. Even before I could say no, she has already bought me one too. This kid doesn't hesitate in buying what she wants, no wonder she's spoiled. She doesn't have any slightest problem with money because she knows her family doesn't run out of money. She paid a lot of cash only for an ice cream and didn't seem to be troubled. As I do my math, she paid £396 only for this hella expensive ice cream. When we finished the ice cream, I still cant believe the diamond was edible. I'm shitting diamonds and gold tomorrow. Can you believe it? It's nerve-wracking! The Princess showed me her favorite shops to buy her lovely dresses and I have found out that all of her dresses were custom-made by the Royal Family's trusted tailor. She showed me the bakery that sells the biggest French bread in town then showed me a shop which sells tools and plants meant for gardening and it makes me miss my home in Quebec when mom and I had that little garden outside our house. The princess showed me around the park then headed to the beautiful lake with such a scenic view and colorful flowers nearby. Then I didn't notice that we reached an enchanting willow forest. “Princess Margaret this place is…” I stopped what I was saying when I noticed that the princess was no longer next to me. I looked around and she was gone. There was complete silence. I spin around but there was no sight of the princess nor Miss Gladys or the Royal Guard.I was only surrounded by these tall willow trees which seemed endless as the enchanting willow forest gives me the total creeps since the sun was starting to set and I didn't know which path to go to. There was no trail path and there was no sign of anyone nearby. I started feeling my heart slightly beating fast as I began to walk nervously. “Hello?!” I called out aloud. “Princess Margaret?! Miss Gladys?! Anyone?! Help me please!” Did I lost the Princess? Oh my God, if I lost the princess, the King will probably kill me. The Royal Family will be so angry at me and they will think I intended to loose the princess to get my revenge. I was just holding her hand earlier, how did I lost her? I should find her soon and get out from this Willow Forest before it gets dark. “Princess Margaret where are you?!” I screamed.I hear the wind swaying through the trees and leaves making the brushing sound as the sound of a flowing water echoes in the silent background. I wonder if it's a small lake, a river or a stream. A twig creaks as I accidentally stepped on it which surprised me and I got even more scared when I started feeling hopeless. “Can anyone hear me?! Hello?!” I yelled out as loud as I could but I can only hear my own voice echoing. I could feel my heartbeat racing faster now and I can't seem to calm myself down knowing for a fact that I am lost in a place I am not familiar with. I am slowly beginning to panic and this is the most dangerous place to have a panic attack because no one will be able to help me and hear me. I pulled my phone out but there was no signal. I couldn't call or message anyone for help. I feel much more hopeless. "Please help me!!I'm lost!!” I screamed again, in high hopes that someone could hear me. The sun has set and darkness begins to creep in all corners. I am still lost in the willow forest with no chance of finding the princess and no chance of finding help or getting out.
