Chapter 4 THE PRINCES IN VACOUVER

  • 4: The Princes In Vancouver
  • July 15, 2020
  • 1:13AM Vancouver, Canada
  • Brothers.
  • Caleb's brothers.
  • Seeing Caleb’s brothers were incredibly surprising to me since I wasn’t really expecting that they would come all the way here and I didn’t even believe that he actually had brothers. I thought it was all for a novel he was writing or a bluff that he would keep saying only when he is drunk but they are actually real. I guess he meant when he said that his brothers came from different mothers because they all looked very different from one another.
  • Caleb walks to me and pulls me inside his place as he closes the door. “I really want you to meet my brothers.” He tells me excitedly.
  • I was left speechless and at the same time feeling a little nervous standing in front of these tall gorgeous men with that look in their eyes. They stared down at me doubtfully and damn do they smell manly fragrant. His room smelled really great as soon as we marched in and it just smells insanely good.
  • “This is a little shocking.” The handsome man with a shoulder-length blond hair and beautiful light blue eyes in a bright red trench coat commented with his marvelous thick British accent. To be honest, he is more than a fine-looking man but despite the handsome face, he looked pretty calm on the outside.
  • He smiles at me and looked like a cheerful one with a bright lively aura of colors yellow and orange which symbols happiness. He seemed friendly even with the tone of his caramel voice. “You never introduce your women to us.” He tells Caleb which surprised me because he thinks I am one of his sex toys.
  • “I am not Caleb’s woman.” I corrected and interrupted him.
  • They all seemed shocked with my words which was also shocking to me because they looked as if I did something wrong. It was a little confusing to me because their reaction is ultimately disturbing to see It's as if I said some huge mistake that made them look at me that way. They stared back at Caleb in unison but Caleb just casually gave a soft humorless laugh while scratching the back of his neck.
  • “Feisty.” The man in a bright red trench coat chuckles. Even his chuckle sounds perfectly elegant.
  • The other one who had a black hair in a messy undercut with his striking Burberry trench coat speaks, “She doesn’t know.” This man looks more different compared to the one in red and by different I meant that he looks flirtier. For some reason he shows a bright color red and pink in his aura and way different from the rest of them. Way flirtier. And Christ, those blue-gray eyes are intense!
  • I glanced back at Caleb who was also glancing at me before he was staring back at his other brother with a dark brown hair, who was wearing the gold rimmed eyeglasses over his blue eyes. Mr. Eyeglasses interrupted us by saying, “She mustn’t know. Father warned Caleb before he was sent here not to tell anyone who he is.”
  • What must I not know?
  • Caleb scratches his head and trails off, “Technically…”
  • The man with blond hair looks over to Caleb, “But you told her. Everything.”
  • Caleb looked back at his brother with guilt in his eyes while I stand here in confusion since I didn’t really understand what they were saying. “You know I don’t really get what you guys are talking about but I don’t really care since it doesn’t concern me a little bit.” I called out.
  • I place the box of pizza over the table as I say to him, “Caleb let’s celebrate next time.”
  • The man in a bright red trench coat stops me from leaving, “Celebrate what?”
  • Caleb grabbed me instantly, “Don’t say—”
  • “His first pay day.” I answered as I cut Caleb off.
  • He lowers his head and looked embarrassed but as I turn to his three other brothers, they all stared at each other in silence before bursting into loud laughter which surprised me. They were actually laughing at him for getting his first salary. I mean, what’s funny with that?
  • “Pay day? You got yourself a job?” The blue-grey eyed guy teases as he chuckles.
  • The one with eyeglasses smiles to himself as he tilted his head to Caleb, “Vancouver really taught you well. We all thought you’d beg father for another chance.”
  • The man in red trench coat laughs too as he teases, “Does father know about this? He will be shocked for this massive change from you Caleb.”
  • Caleb looked embarrassed as they kept laughing at him and I didn’t know what the hell was funny about someone getting a job. I turned to them, “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with getting a decent job and receiving your own paycheck.” I hollered out loud and it made them stop laughing.
  • The four of them stared at me eagerly but Caleb was the only one smiling. I don’t know why he is smiling but these other three men sounded very boastful when they laughed at him for getting his first pay and for actually getting a job which shouldn’t be a big deal.
  • “People slave their lives to work for personal responsibilities and for their families especially the ones who doesn’t have golden spoons in their mouths.” I muttered with confidence.
  • Caleb kept his smile at me.
  • I continued, “Shouldn’t you be proud at least of your brother that he has taken such responsibility and earned something for the very first time for himself without asking money from anyone?”
  • They looked at each awkwardly slightly in shock and didn’t say anything else as I stared back at them impassively. “How about the three of you, have you ever earned something you worked hard for that made you proud of?” I asked them.
  • Caleb laughs as he placed his arm around my shoulders. “Now you guys see why I wanted to introduce her to you?”
  • He smiles back at me, “I guess they never earned anything they worked hard for Thia.”
  • “Does she even know who she is talking to?” The Mr. Eyeglasses with dark brown hair asked and sounded a little pissed at me. “She seemed to casually talk to us when she shouldn’t.”
  • “Don’t be so mean to a lady, G.” The model-looking one in a Burberry trench coat says with a cheeky smile on his face as he turns his attention to me. His eyes bright blue-grey eyes are insanely intense.
  • The guy in red smiles at his brothers and gave the blondie a pat in his shoulder. “Relax G.”
  • Mr. Eyeglasses turned to me, “If you may allow me to speak, we all have earned something we worked hard for that we’re certainly proud of achieving.”
  • He gestured to Caleb, “He’s the only one left who hasn’t done anything in taking toll on facing his own responsibilities that’s why he was sent here.”
  • The guy in red smiles tightlipped at the guy with gold eyeglasses. “Calm down. Caleb has learned his lesson for sure.” He glances at Caleb which had a guilty look plastered on his face.
  • Caleb breathes, “Look lads. I know I was at fault when I fought with father but I learned my lesson upon my stay here. It isn’t easy. If it wasn’t for her, I’d be starving on the streets penniless. I owe her a lot.”
  • There was silence among us and I didn’t know what else to say since I was sensing that Caleb was slightly irresponsible before he came here to Vancouver. I could tell that he didn’t want responsibilities since he was so carefree and too relaxed spending his money on useless things.
  • The handsome man with blond hair turns to me with a gentle smile. “As the eldest in here, I would like to personally thank you for taking care of Caleb. He is sometimes…. Rebellious.”
  • He gazes at Caleb who gave him a wry smile before looking back at me. “On behalf of my younger brothers, I apologize for laughing at Caleb. We were just utterly surprised but I guess it’s a good change.”
  • The dark brown haired, Mr. Eyeglasses, chuckles softly. “I can’t believe you’re actually saying sorry to her.”
  • “Is it so difficult to apologize too?” I chirped as I turned my attention to him.
  • Before the dark brown guy could say anything, Caleb butts in and chuckles as he rubs my shoulder, “Okay before we heat things up. Lads, this is Cynthia Cavanaugh. She’s helped me a lot. She is my lifesaver.”
  • The one in a red trench coat with blond hair and handsome face extends a hand and smiled at me gorgeously, “My name is Thibaut. Pleasure to meet the person who helped my younger brother.”
  • Younger brother? Wait he looked much younger than Caleb. He has such a baby face but he is actually older? Wow I wonder what he eats or what his skin care routine is to actually look this handsomely and pleasantly young. I guess he is the eldest son but he doesn’t seem to hate Caleb in contrast to what he mentioned before.
  • I take Thibaut’s hand to mine, “Pleasure to meet you too.” He’s the most respectful among the three of them and he’s polite too.
  • I pulled my hand away from his hand and found Caleb gesturing to the captivating man in a Burberry trench coat with his messy undercut hairstyle and intense blue-grey eyes to die for. “Thia this is Malcolm. He’s also my older brother.”
  • Malcolm extends a hand and as soon as I accepted it he planted a kiss on the back of my hand which was a little surprising. “Nice to meet you Milady.”
  • My brows creasing as I answered, “Uh, yeah. You too.” I pulled my hand away from him and he just smiles at me. His aura is very similar with Caleb when it comes to dealing with women but his aura is more calming than Caleb’s rebellious atmosphere.
  • Finally, Caleb gestures at the mean dark brown haired guy who seemed a little too pissed at me for slightly raising my voice at them especially at him. It was obvious that we had a little rally earlier hence he looks at me annoyingly. “Lastly, our youngest Gregory.”
  • Youngest. So this man is the youngest yet he looks and seems to be the most mature.
  • Formally, he slightly bent his head down forward as he greets, “Glad to meet you.” Then pulled his head up with an impassive look on his face.
  • He doesn’t really look glad to meet me to be honest but it doesn’t really matter since I am not glad to meet him as well. “Yeah. Same here.” I answered shortly.
  • Thibaut travelled his head to Caleb, “Caleb, shouldn’t you be asking why we are all here?”
  • Caleb’s brows raised and looked excited to even ask, “Oh yeah. Why did the three of you come all the way here? And where’s Link?”
  • Link? Who’s that?
  • Malcolm groans, “We all know he doesn’t want to hang out with any of us aside from Thibaut.”
  • Thibaut gives a disapproving look, “We don’t really have to talk about that for now.”
  • Caleb shakes his head, “Anyways are you here to give me some cash? Well I do need a little bit to pay my apartment that’s due tomorrow.”
  • “Father wants you back home.” Thibaut answers.
