Chapter 8 Mother's Request
- [Cernon’s POV]
- I stood a few meters behind the couch of the expansive room where Amara’s family sat and talked. I listen to their conversation, trying to pick up any clue to use in wooing her. It’s about time to have a mortal offspring, a child not born from a goddess mother that would continue the cycle of death and rebirth, but with mortals, allowing my offspring to age and live like humans. There is nothing wrong with slow death. If witches and werewolves can live and die like humans, why can’t my children do the same?
- After Amara showed my picture to her mother, she immediately reached out to me. I was right, she could sense me. She is a very powerful white witch. I’m impressed. But Amara is not too bad either. She could be nearly as powerful as her mother with practice.
