Chapter 53 A Devil's Diversion
- I woke up feeling strange, realizing I wasn't in my bed, in my room, where I felt comfortable, away from my family's crap.
- There was also the discomfort, or strange comfort, of familiarity in the Dark matter. It felt normal to sleep with that woman. Now, I was alone in the big bed where we slept, thinking she had vanished just to avoid me when she returned, so I got up and thought about leaving, leaving behind the only night I didn't think about work or debauchery, only about sleeping beside the devil who tormented me so much.
- I was in the bathroom when she surprised me with her presence. She leaned against the door and watched me through the mirror.
