Chapter 22 Happiness

• Waking up and seeing him with Nina in his arms felt like a crazy dream I often had while running from place to place. Despite being hurt and very angry, I always wished my daughter could have a father and a comfortable life.
• Dante came back determined to become a different man. I was surprised and scared because the last time we were happy and planning a future together, something happened and took that happiness away.
• I still feared that this was all a dream or one of his delusions, and that once he realized it, he would leave again. No matter how much time had passed, I still loved him. I thought accepting his proposal so quickly was foolish, but I couldn't hold back. I couldn't lie and say I didn't want this, because my desire led me into his arms.
