• I was wondering what was happening inside, because Dylan came. And immediately, Paul stumbled out of the room, blood stained his clothes, his eyes full of fear. I gasped, pressing myself further into the corner, my heart pounding in my chest. What in the world had just happened? He looked like he had been to hell and back, and seeing him like that made me angry.
• I didn’t dare move, not even to breathe too loudly. I watched as Paul staggered down the hallway, clutching his stomach, blood dripping between his fingers. He was too terrified to even notice me hiding, and in an instant, he was gone, disappearing into the darkness.
