Chapter 3 The Twin

• “Sofia, stop it. You know just as well as I do, that it is possible and clearly it happened. You can see the shock and confusion on this child’s face. Anyways I believe it is time he knew,” said Alpha John.
• “No, no, no. It cannot be. I made sure of it,” said Luna Sofia. Alpha John frowned at his mate,
• “What the hell does that mean?” he asked.
• “Would you two quit bickering and tell me what it is that I need to know?” asked Elijah. Amirah felt like she was having an outer body experience. She was just an observer as everything in her life is falling apart right before her. How is she going to overcome this? If it truly was not Elijah, which she is starting to suspect it was not, who the hell did she give herself too? Who marked her?
• “Everyone, sit down. We have something to tell you all,” said Alpha John,
• “No not everyone, only Elijah needs to know,” protested Luna Sofia. Alpha John shock his head,
• “We might as well tell everyone at once, and Amirah is clearly already involved the poor child also needs to know the truth,”
• “What is this damn truth,” said Elijah, he didn’t shout but his voice was cracking from him barely holding onto his patients.
• “Your mother needs to tell you about her past, Sofia?” said Alpha John.
• “Elijah, my baby, everything I have done is out of love and is to protect you. I will not apologize for protecting you and I would like it to be noted that I feel that it is not necessary for you to know,”
• “Noted, tell him Sofia. Stop delaying, our son deserves the truth,” Alpha John sighed. Amirah sat next to Elijah on a love seat and they held on each other’s hands for support.
• “When I was young, I came to Eldavaria Continent with my other, Oracle Bella. See, I am a Fae and I am born from Fae noble blood and…”
• “Wait… wait, so you not human?” cut in Elijah.
• “No, she’s not. Please son let her speak first and then you can asked all the questions you have,” pleaded Alpha John. Elijah nodded his head, and Amirah squeezed his hand offering comfort. Elijah smiled down at her and she returned the smile. Now that, is the smile she remembers. Someone cleared their throat and the moment between them frizzled away. They turned their attention back to the room and Amirah blushed at being caught up and forgetting about everything.
• “Please, continue,” said Elijah.
• “Well, as I was saying. I was born from noble Fae blood and that means our bloodline is special. I was young and impressionable. When we came here, we were running away from the Fae realm. I am an undesirable, I have no powers and in the Fae Realm that is punishable by death. My mother could not bear to have me killed so she took me and we ran away. When we got here she seeking asylum and the Lycan King agreed, he then appointed her the Royal Oracle. As you know the attack on the royal family happened and the Eldavarian Council took over ruling. Alpha Luca Romano, the Head of the Council is a greedy, cruel man and he held me and other’s captive. When he found out that my blood could still produce child who can inherit magical Fae powers, he… he…” Luna Sofia’s voice cracked as she wiped her tears away. Alpha John hugged his mate, offering her comfort and strength. She pulled out of the embrace but he held her hand.
• “He used me as a breeder and I gave birth to twin boys. I knew I could not stay and allow him to corrupt my child or use them as some weapons. So I planned my escape, but I also had a very, very tough decision to make. If I took both children he would hunt me down to no end and me and my children will live a horrible, miserable life always looking over our shoulder and I could not go back to Fae Realm. So, I decided to take one boy and leave the other. Which is why John believes that last night, you might have been with the other twin,” continued Luna Sofia.
• “So let me get this straight, I had a twin brother I know nothing about, and he so happens to be the person who mated and marked my mate?” asked Elijah.
• “What, no. What do you mean, your mate? It’s impossible. She’s already mated to your brother,” said Luna Sofia, she sounded distorted by Elijah, claiming that Amirah is his mate.
• “Well, mother as we can see, nothing is impossible. I have a twin brother who has magically appeared and it so happens that he too is Amirah’s fated mate as well as I am,”
• “John, tell him it’s impossible,”
• “Sofia, you heard them both, Amirah’s wolf recognised Antonio as her mate and Elijah just said she is also his fated mate. A she-wolf having two mates may be rare but it is not impossible. Just as rare as second- chance mates but still not impossible,” replied Alpha John.
• “Is that his name?” asked Amirah, she finally spoke up. She had been stunted into silence and didn’t know how to right her world which was not flipped upside down.
• “Yes, dear, his name is Antonio Romano,” replied Alpha John. The room remained silent as everyone processed everything that has been said.
• “I wish you had told me all this before today. Now, I have a problem to resolve and a twin brother to track down and kill,” said Elijah. Amirah gasped and she heard Dione whimper,
• “Di, you back?”
• “Yes, sorry I was silent. I had to go get answers,” replied Dione.
• “Answers, what answers?”
• “We’ll talk later, for now concentrate and listen,” Amirah focused back to the room and what Elijah was saying,
• “What do you mean I cannot kill him, he obviously knew Amirah thought he was me and he still took advantage of her,” roared Elijah. Amirah loved him for how he passionately defended the people he cared about but she felt her heart break at the thought of Antonio harmed. Amirah shook her head, no, it’s just the bond. NO way, she has feelings for him. All that was needed now was for her to find him, reject him and then she and Elijah can be together… if he still will have her.
• “I case a protective spell on you two before I took you and ran. It was a safety net and a contingency plan. Just in case, your brother comes looking for you,” Luna Sofia.
• “What does that mean?” asked Elijah.
• “Well, son, your mother knew that your brother might be corrupted and raised to hate you so she cased a binding spell. You cannot hurt each other. If you kill him, you will die as well,” explained Alpha John.
• “What? But how, I never felt any pain of had mystery bruises,” asked Elijah.
• “When your mother came here, she told me everything and then we both decided to case another spell to protect you. Once you and your twin brother meet, the protective spell will be void and the binding spell will remain. Only then will you suffer each other’s injuries.
• “Wow, just great. Anymore spells cast on me I should know about?” asked Elijah, his words covered in sarcasm and anger.
• “Son, please try understanding, this was not easy for your mother as well. That man hurt her beyond, what we can comprehend and she also had to leave her other child in that evil man’s care. It has eaten her inside. Not know how he is, what has become of him, what he…” Alpha John stopped talking, his eyes glazed over. Someone was mindlinking him, we all waiting for him to finish talking to whoever it was. Alpha John finished his conversation but when he looked at Luna Sofia he had a very shocked and worried look.
• “Uhm… it would seem that Antonio is as the gate,” he said.
• “What here? How did he find us? Oh my Goddess,” panicked Luna Sofia.
• “Great, saves me the time to find him,” said Elijah as he walked towards the door. Amirah stopped him and tugged at his hands. She could not allow Elijah to hurt Antonio or himself.
• “Elijah, you heard your mother, if you hurt him, you also get hurt. Please just calm down,” she pleaded with him. He sighed and hand his hand down his face,
• “Fine, for you princess, I will calm down. But if he does or says something, I do not care that injuring him, I too hurt myself. He is going down,” he vowed. Amirah smiled at her fierce protector, he was always like this protecting her despite his own safety.
• “Father grant him access, I think it’s time I meet my twin brother,”
