Chapter 98 Winter

• The moment he disappears from view, my legs give out. I fall to my knees right there on the ground as everything I've been holding in comes pouring out. Sobs rack my body so violently that I can barely breathe. Blair and Treasure immediately drop down beside me, their arms around me as I completely break down.
• "What is wrong with me?" I cry between gasps for air. "Why does everyone hurt me? What am I doing wrong?" I look up at Mom, at Treasure, at Blair through my tears. "Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Why is my story always different? Why can't I just be happy like everyone else?"
• Treasure's eyes fill with tears as she pulls me into her arms, holding me so tightly I can feel her heart racing against mine. "Don't say that, Winter," she whispers fiercely. "Don't you ever say that."
