• I practically fly down the hall as I rush against time. I had two minutes to get there and when the elevator doors opened, I pushed the button an insane amount of times. I push the thoughts of Odis and the encounter with Leo aside and decide to focus on the cakes and enjoying every flavor.
• When the doors slowly open, I squeeze through the space and move faster than I knew was capable. I run straight and curve to the left, coming to a stop. My chest rises and falls, and I smooth my clothes and head into the kitchen.
• The kitchen staff smile at me as I walk in, and I nod at them. “Thank you so much for your help today. I appreciate it.”
