Chapter 19 Nineteen

• As Max continued to comfort Carmela, Pedro's expression darkened. He didn't like the idea of Max being there, comforting his friend. He knew that Max was Carmela's ex-husband, and he didn't want him to get close to her again. He was worried that Max would only cause more pain and confusion.
• Carmela sensed the tension between the two men, and she felt a wave of guilt. She knew that they both cared about her, and she didn't want them to fight. She wanted them to get along, for the sake of her own sanity.
