Chapter 18 Eighteen

• Carmela got Noah out of the house and ran into the front yard, looking around frantically for Hannah. She spotted her daughter just as a beam from the roof collapsed, trapping her under a pile of burning wood.
• "Hannah!" Carmela screamed, running towards her. "No!"
• Hannah's eyes were wide with fear as she struggled to free herself from the debris, but it was no use. The flames were spreading rapidly, and Carmela knew she had to act fast. She grabbed a nearby hose and turned on the water, aiming it at the burning beam.
