Chapter 34 I Will Fight

• Dawn was still breaking when I walked through the gates of my castle. The color of the sky slowly began to change to an orange glow amidst all the darkness. It was starting to get light, and the icy wind was blowing through the fabric of my clothes, chilling my skin.
• Rubens walked beside me in silence. His boots were firmly on the ground, and I knew that, like me, he was analyzing what we had discovered, working out the best strategy to present at the meeting later. We didn't exchange any words when we reached the inner courtyard of the castle; he just gave me a firm look, warrior to warrior, before nodding and heading for the allied leaders' quarters.
