Chapter 95 Intense Need

• I followed the route I'd seen Hannah ply with our empty plates. The kitchen was empty, but there was a big door down the corridor, so I stepped through the door and it brought me to the servant quarters.
• There were a few more people around than I had thought before. Quite a number of servants were scattered over the space. They greeted me cheerfully. Most of them seemed shocked or surprised to see me.
• I asked for Hannah, and one of them led me to a larger kitchen where Hannah was seated shelling peas. I moved over and took a seat opposite her.
