Chapter 25 Detention Ii

• I entered the kitchen fully dressed for school and anticipating dinner with Ray in the evening. Anyone with good eyes could see I was way too happy.
• I found Ray and Alaine sitting on the kitchen counter and my mum talking to Ray happily. For a moment I was taken aback. My mum would never let me sit on the kitchen counter but here she was, breaking rules. Wow, something definitely was wrong somewhere. And didn't Ray and Alaine have to go to school? Didn't Alaine have a calculus test with me?
• "Good morning mum." I turned to both boys on the counter, "Don't you guys have school to attend today?" I tried hard to keep my gaze from wandering to Ray, which it constantly did.
