Chapter 27

• After Samuel left, Arianna rejoined the entire Walters family, trying to appear comfortable, even though she wasn't very fond of attending parties like the one happening now. For some reason, Arianna felt quickly bored when she had to engage in small talk with the guests.
• "Are you not joining the rest of the family?"
• Suddenly, someone's greeting snapped Arianna out of her thoughts. After tiredly wandering around, she had decided to sit in one of the chairs to stretch her tired legs. Just a few minutes after sitting down, she heard someone addressing her. Arianna reflexively looked up. When she turned to the source of the voice, she was momentarily stunned.
