Chapter 12

• Sweat trickled down Arianna's forehead as she clutched her stomach, asking the taxi driver to pull over at one of the pharmacies along the roadside.
• Due to being late for dinner, her long-standing stomach ailment had flared up, making her extremely uncomfortable until this morning. As a result, Arianna curled up on the bed for a while. After feeling a bit better, she slowly prepared herself to head to the office.
• She could have taken a sick day, but remembering the pending work that needed to be completed before stopping, Arianna forced herself to go. She chose to make a quick stop at the pharmacy before continuing her journey to the office. She didn't care if Axton or Samuel would be angry later because she arrived later than usual.
