- But for how long will the introductions go on? I wondered.
- Damien must have read my mind because he ended the meeting immediately. He dismissed all the workers except two workers in charge of the kitchen; I would not have known they worked in the kitchen if he had not spoken to them about food. Two of them had excused themselves a few times; I could tell they were going to the kitchen to check on the food.
- At the thought of food, my stomach grumbled and I chuckled slightly, hoping no one heard that. Nobody stared at me or showed a sign of noticing that. Not even Pamela and that made me breathe a sigh of relief.
