Chapter 2
- "Hi, beauty" someone interrupted me. I ignored him and kept staring at the sky. "Can I sit beside you?" he said, and I rolled my eyes to the side to stare at him.
- "What if I ask you not to?"
- "I will leave" he muttered, and I shrugged.
- "Then I bet you should leave now."
- "Don't you think that is a bit too harsh?" he asked, sitting beside me.
- "I am sure I told you not to sit."
- "Well," he began, but I was too angry to listen to what he had to say.
- I stood up without listening to what he was saying and entered the club.
- "Where did you go?" Claire asked.
- They were sitting at the bar taking some alcohol.
- "I told Lucy I was going to get some fresh air. She did not tell you?" I asked, sitting on the stool beside Claire.
- "Is that what you were trying to tell me?" Lucy asked.
- I scoffed. "Is that what you were trying to tell me," I mimicked her, and they laughed.
- "There are so many handsome guys here," Claire muttered sadly and I sighed.
- "I bet you want to go out with every one of them."
- "Do you see those guys in the VIP section? They are smoking hot" Lucy said.
- I wasn't interested in their conversation, but I turned to see who Lucy was talking about.
- "Are they not cute?" Claire asked and I shook my head in disagreement.
- I could not see their faces clearly, there was no way I would agree with that.
- "I can only see two gents hungry for sexy lap dances," I replied, and Lucy gasped.
- "What are you talking about?"
- Claire hit me slightly. "You're naughty."
- "I am. Only when I want to be," I replied. I stared at my wristwatch. "It's past midnight. We should get back." I said. "It's getting late."
- Lucy laughed. "Sometimes I wonder who you are, Olive. You're the craziest girl I have ever met and, at the same time, you seem to be the most admirable girl I know."
- "Can we call her the crazy admirable girl?" Claire asked and they laughed.
- I rolled my eyes. "You guys are crazy bitches". I stood up. "I am leaving if you are not."
- A hand held my hand and I turned to see who it was. Staring at me was a strange guy. He seemed to be very drunk as he staggered badly. He also reeked of alcohol.
- "Bella" he cooed and I furrowed my brows.
- What is he talking about?
- "I am not Bella," I told him, pulling my hand away.
- "Bella, please don't leave me. Bella, please don't." He begged holding my hand.
- Two men walked towards us and grabbed him.
- "We are sorry for his attitude", they apologized before dragging him away.
- "I think he is heartbroken," Lucy said, and I nodded.
- "I think so too," I replied. "Let's leave this place please," I said, and we headed for the door.
- We were so close to the door when I remembered I had left my keys on the table. I was sure Olivia would close every door and window; I would not be able to go into the house without my keys.
- "I think I left my keys. I need to get them." I said to Lucy and Claire.
- "We will come with you," Lucy said.
- "No, that will not be necessary. You should wait for me outside. I will be back soon."
- "Fine," Lucy answered.
- I went back to get my keys and realized that what I left on the table was my lipstick. I searched for it in my bag, but there was no key. I became frustrated. There is no way I will be able to go into the house. I decided to return to Lucy and Claire. A young man walked up to me on my way out.
- "Can I speak to you, please?" he muttered, and I scoffed.
- "I do not want to speak to you"
- "You would not listen to what I have to say?" he asked.
- "Do I care about what you have to say?" I muttered, walking away.
- He grabbed me by the waist and that brought me to a stop. I turned quickly and landed a slap on his face. The people beside us gasped. He placed his hand on his face.
- "Did you just slap me?"
- I scoffed. "I should have done more than that, don't you think?"
- "Don't you think you are being aggressive?" he asked and I scoffed. "I did nothing wrong."
- "You did nothing wrong, huh? You grabbed me by the waist."
- "It was a mistake. I wanted to hold your hand"
- "You're a pervert", I snapped at him and he frowned.
- "Do you go about calling people names?"
- "Do you go about grabbing ladies by their waists?" I asked.
- "I told you that was a mistake."
- "And you want me to believe that?"
- He scoffed. "You're just a mannerless girl."
- "And you are a frustrated man" I replied.
- He blinked. "Frustrated? Are you being serious right now?"
- I folded my arms. "Are you not frustrated?"
- He sighed. "I should not be having this conversation with you. You're crazy."
- "You aren't any different," I said, flicking my fingers across his face. "Go to hell," I said, walking away.
- I should not be wasting my time talking to him. I thought.
- "My eyes are on you. Make sure we do not meet, or I will make you live in hell," he threatened.
- I walked back to meet him. "I had better not see you either, because I will make you live in hell too."
- "Do you know who I am?"
- "Do I care about who you are?"
- "You're crazy." he muttered, and I raised my middle finger at him.
- "Go to hell!"
- I walked out of the club, leaving him dumbfounded.
- "What kept you so long? I was about to come in to fetch you," Lucy said.
- "It's nothing of any importance. I think I left my key at home"
- "You might need to crash at our place tonight," Claire said, and I nodded. She chuckled. "This is going to be fun."
