Chapter 20 Don't Force Me

• Emily was on the Montgomery’s Express train. It wasn’t too crowded, so she could have a wide space to sit. She was torn if she needed to turn on her phone to call or text her mother. But then, doing so might cause her mother to ask her to return.
• After considering her options for a while, she knew she couldn’t do it. Pauline already helped her, and she didn’t go this far to return. So, keeping turning off her phone was the best option, at least until she could reach another town and get a place to stay.
• But then, the guilt was heavy within her mind. Leaving no note, her parents might be worried. Emily bit her lower lip. Probably she could tell them her reason and how sorry she was that she escaped on her wedding day.
