• "You should at least consider it," Alex said, settling into the chair across from Jaxon’s desk. Jaxon sat behind it, his glasses resting on his nose as he stared at his open PC.
• "You’re the perfect fit for this. Even Carveli thinks so. What’s holding you back?" Alex pressed.
• Jaxon exhaled heavily. "It’s not that simple, Alex. Taking charge of the family means spending even more time away from home." His voice carried a weight of concern.
