• Isla rushed out of the office to grab her bag. Inside, she had a candle and a lighter. She pulled them out and quickly returned.
• In the office, Jaxon had positioned a stool between the chairs in front of his desk, placing the cake and glasses on it. As he poured wine into the glasses, Isla carefully inserted the candle into the cake.
• He let out a scoff and shook his head. "You brought a candle too?"
