Chapter 171

• Monday, two days after her confrontation with Rafael, Nicole went to work because she had to not because she wanted to, she had work that she couldn't finish because she had left when she had angrily gone back home, she would have gone to Aron's studio if she had been in a good mood but she wasn't so she decided to work in her office instead, she told one of the staff to bring a drawing board and the other things she needed to her office where she spent almost all of her Monday in, she only left when she had to eat lunch and then again when she had to go drop something off at the airport for an overseas client, she didn't want to bother anybody with it so she had gone herself, she passed by Rafael's office, looked up at it as she waited for the light to turn red, she could go there and talk to him, all she needed to do was make a turn but she didn't, she drove right ahead without looking back, when she came back to the office, she met Kris there, she was crying.
• "Hey Kris, what's going on?"
• She asked the teenage girl who looked up at her and went right back to crying.
