Chapter 71 Xander's Nightmare

• Xander tightened his jaw as he watched the loving-dovey couple walk into Angel's apartment. Xander tried to push the bad thoughts out of his head. He then reached into his trouser pocket to activate his cellphone, which had been in suspended animation for four days. Dozens of notifications immediately scrambled to enter his phone and created a very loud sound in the quiet hallway of Angel's apartment.
• Xander stuffed his cell phone back into his trouser pocket and promised to check all the notifications when he got home. He hoped he could enjoy a hot bath with a bottle of the best wine from his collection and classical music from his playlist. But, all those dreams evaporated in the air quickly when he found Phoebe sitting back on his penthouse sofa.
