Chapter 49 Xander And Phoebe's Wedding

Xander and Phoebe's wedding was just hours away. Angel placed the gold-inked invitation on the nightstand. She had read it dozens of times since the invitation was placed on her desk. Xander never gave it to her directly. Xander didn't even want to talk about his marriage while they spent time together at the office. Yeah, they were just work. They never talked about personal things because it was too risky.
Angel got up from bed to get ready to go to church. She would be a bridesmaid along with Phoebe's friends. Time passed so quickly since the incident on the yatch that caused her to almost die. Luckily, things went pretty normal after that. The last three weeks, Angel had been busy helping Phoebe prepare for her wedding. They had a very tight timeline for taking care of catering, wedding hall, entertainment, and determining the list of invited guests. Xander didn't interfere in any of those things. He left all the wedding preparations to Phoebe and his mother. Xander tended to spend more time in the office in the seconds leading up to his wedding day. Angel never wanted to ask Xander the reason behind his indifference. She let everything flow like water.
“Dylan, where are you? Phoebe has called me a hundred times and told me to drag my ass to church.”
