• The last thing she saw before the seawater drowned her was Phoebe's face filled with disappointment and Xander's face filled with cruelty. Her body swayed as the yatch began to shake gently. Angel tried to form words and concentrate on clearing up the misunderstanding that had occurred. But suddenly her body flew over the deck guardrail. Angel tried to reach for the empty air and trace the void beneath her. She couldn't breathe. Her lungs filled with water that poured in from her nose. Angel tried to open her mouth to ask for help. But her body only sank further into the terrifying darkness.
• “Angel? Don't worry, you're safe. Angel?”
• Something pressed hard on her shoulder. Angel tried to open her heavy eyes. Her hands stopped reaching for empty air when someone nailed her to the bed.
