• I leave the hospital with a smile on my face. I go straight to a cafe. I need to call Troy and ask how things are at the Estate. It's a good thing I know his number by heart.
• " Hello, Troy, it's me, Ava," I say, and I hear a long sigh of relief on his end.
• " I was so worried about you. How are you?" he asks. I told him everything that had happened since he left me with Mikael, including my airport issue and getting this job.
