• Louis, who was amused by my conclusion, chose to remain silent. Louis realized that by taking this route, we would not be able to arrive at our destination for more than two days as we strolled through the forest's northern flank, avoiding every area we could possibly invade. It was nearly daybreak when we spotted the cottage.
