The alpha was not really excited to be with Jessie because of his ongoing worries about the pack and the time he spent with the children. Knowing that she was expecting his child and not being truly thrilled about it was unusual for him. Although Caiden had desired for years to have children with Jessie, he only wanted to have children with Kamara.
