• “Mercedes, what's going on here? You are being spotted in Glary's company constantly. He even claims to be your mate!” Beta Marc calls his daughter to account for all the rumors in the pack. He can't believe that after all he's entrusted to her about his fear of Glary being her mate, she still chooses the Alpha son. The father knows his daughter's relationship with Alpha Zane is now problematic but it never came to his mind that Mercedes would lend herself to Glary's intrigue.
