• "I wish you didn't have to go," I told Ethan as I walked with him downstairs.
• "I wish I didn't have to leave either, but it is important that I find Vera and Jane. I hate knowing they are out there somewhere and can strike at any minute," Ethan replied. It was Saturday, and my birthday was a day away. Ethan wanted to go out and see if he could find Vera and Jane before then. I knew he was worried they would try and make an appearance on my birthday, and so was I. I was sure Jane wasn't going to rest until she got rid of me.
