• "Wake up, Ethan," I heard Ella say before she poured cold water on me, causing me to open my eyes and sit up on my bed. "Happy Eighteenth Birthday, brother," Ella laughed as she ran out of my room.
• "I am going to get you back, Ella," I growled. I should have known she was going to pull a stunt like that. She always did something to me every year on our birthday. I got up out of bed and walked over to the bathroom, which was attached to my room. I took off my wet clothes and got into the shower.
