• After school, I felt the pull again. The restaurant, the place where I met Franco, the guy I’d once fought. The last time we crossed paths, I humiliated him, but something had changed in me. I wasn’t the same guy anymore. I needed people who could stand with me, people who weren’t afraid to fight. I needed people who could help me take down the pack.
• When I walked in, I saw him sitting at a corner table. Franco looked up as soon as I stepped through the door. His eyes were a mix of caution and curiosity. There was something else there too,respect. The same respect I am looking for.
