• Her legs were getting stronger and firmer as the days went by and she could walk on her own for short distances. Karen had done everything within her powers to avoid Ralph and the only times they made contact in the two weeks she had been in the mansion was when he brought her meals himself to her room. She had also kept far from those in the mansion except Taurus who was her enjoyable company. By his help, she had learnt how to play different card games and she had even been able to catch up on some societal facts she was deprived of in those long three years she was locked up.
• She had missed Ralph terribly but everytime her brain thinks of him, the kiss they shared, she would quieten her thoughts and switch it to something else - her thoughts would still find a way to wander back to Ralph. She had also not seen or heard of Meldy and though she wasn't ready to accept it, she was pleased.
