Chapter 75 Karen's Joy

  • Karen's joy did not last in full because soon after her transformation into her white wolf, she fell ill. Hunter said all he could so that she could stay in his lair with him but she refused and promised to continue coming to see him.
  • The sickness seemed permanent like it had come to be a part of her every day life. She was regularly feverish in the night. During the day, she was rarely energized and her energy only returned a little, after she must have had a sumptuous and heavy meal. Despite how turbulent she felt in her body system, her spirit was elevated. Her senses were sharper than usual, ranging from her ear picking up close to silent sounds, her eyes seeing things that were beyond far and could be considered almost inconsequential, her nose perceiving all forms of scents and smells and most times, it was a curse to her because she would spend the day perceiving different type of things. Her taste buds salivating at food or snacks that were being prepared miles away - this particular one got her upset because she got very famished easily but somehow, Hunter was always there to get flesh, meat, accompanied with a jar of blood for her.
  • "Why are you staring at me like that?" Karen asked Hunter as she noticed his unusual stare at her for the past few minutes.
