• I braced myself, waiting for the moment I would feel each rogue violate our borders. Judging by the speed at which they were charging toward us, tumbling recklessly through the trees, it would be any second now. I would feel every footstep as it crossed the invisible barrier into my land. The sheer number of them should have shaken me to my core and it did but I refused to let it show. I would not falter. I would not give them that satisfaction.
