• CHAPTER 11- BETHANY
• The morning was still engulfed in darkness as I woke up to start my day. I rubbed my eyes and yawned, feeling groggy and disoriented. As I proceeded to the common kitchen, I thought about my colleague Jane, who was always unusually quiet. She only spoke to me when necessary to communicate instructions. I wondered if she was just shy or if she had some other reason for keeping to herself.
• As I continued on my way to work, I caught a glimpse of Alpha Ryder working out on the training grounds under the rising sun, and I couldn't help but stop to admire his impressive physique. His muscles rippled as he lifted weights, and his sweat glistened in the sunlight. I felt a pang of envy as I realised that I could never look that good, no matter how much I worked out.
