Chapter 9 The Wrath Of Tartarus

  • The truck burst into the courtyard at breakneck speed, crashing through the doors.
  • It careened directly toward a young man holding a half-filled basin of water.
  • The truck's arrival was sudden, its speed too fast.
  • The young man, who had just fetched half a basin of water, hadn't even had a chance to douse Nadine before being sent flying.
  • His body was slammed against the wall by the truck, instantly splattering blood everywhere. Half of his torso was reduced to a pulp.
  • He instantly met a tragic death!
  • Even before the dust had settled, the door of the truck swung open.
  • Zoran, seething with fury, leaped out.
  • As soon as his feet touched the ground, Zoran's gaze fixated on the small girl inside the dog cage.
  • The resemblance between the girl and Zoran was striking.
  • With just one glance, Zoran was certain; the girl was his daughter.
  • After all, blood ties and intuition didn't lie.
  • His daughter, the daughter of Tartarus, was actually locked up in a dog cage!
  • D*mn it, and she was being forced to eat dog food and tortured into unconsciousness.
  • She was only four years old, for God's sake! These despicable, heartless scums!
  • “You all deserve to die!”
  • Zoran's eyes were bloodshot, his murderous intent soaring as the temperature plummeted around him.
  • With a furious shout, he took a step forward.
  • He raised his hand and slapped the face of a young man.
  • Crack!
  • The young man's neck snapped instantly, his face and the back of his head exchanging positions as he died a gruesome death.
  • The sight left the remaining young men wide-eyed with fear, their legs trembling uncontrollably.
  • In the end, they were nothing but a bunch of hoodlums.
  • Witnessing Zoran kill two people in one go, they were petrified.
  • They wanted to run, but Zoran didn't give them a chance to escape.
  • “Attack!”
  • “Kill, kill, kill!”
  • With a swift motion, Zoran drew the Full Moon Machete from behind his back.
  • Moving like lightning, he swiftly decapitated all the young men, leaving only one alive.
  • Pressing the blade against the survivor's neck, Zoran demanded, “Who ordered you to do this?”
  • “It... it was Horace Watson!”
  • “Where is he?” Zoran's eyes blazed red with murderous intent as he asked.
  • “He's... he's at Lovers Hotel, waiting for a woman named Sheila Sullivan!”
  • As soon as the survivor uttered these words, his head thudded to the ground.
  • Zoran sheathed his blade and took out a satellite phone, dialing a number.
  • “I know you're all here. Do something for me,” he commanded.
  • “Don Tartarus, you may speak.” came the voice of Anonymous, the First Tartarus Guard, on the other end of the line.
  • “Anonymous, this is Clusia. I don't want my wife and daughter to know my identity for now, to avoid scaring them. So from now on, you will address me as 'Boss'.”
  • “Yes, Boss!” replied Anonymous respectfully.
  • “Go to Lovers Hotel personally and restrain a man named Horace Watson for me. Remember, restrain, don't kill him.”
  • With that, Zoran hung up the phone.
  • He dashed toward the dog cage in a single stride, looking at the little girl confined within. His eyes instantly welled up with tears.
  • “My daughter, I'm sorry I'm late. I'm sorry you've suffered so much! But I'm here now, and no one will ever dare to bully you again!”
  • Gritting his teeth, Zoran fought back the urge to kill.
  • He dismantled the dog cage barehanded, then carefully lifted his daughter into his arms.
  • Seeing his emaciated daughter, her mouth still stuffed with dog food, Zoran couldn't control his tears, which streamed down uncontrollably.
  • She was merely four years old, yet she had to endure such suffering!
  • Before she fell unconscious, how helpless and scared must she have felt? And how desperately she must have yearned for someone to save her?
  • “Sheila, I hope you're okay!”
  • With his daughter persecuted to this extent, Zoran could only hope that Anonymous wouldn't be too late.
  • Otherwise, no one would be able to withstand Tartarus's wrath!
