Chapter 79 Pure Agony

  • Asher wished there was something he could do to ease the pain Beth was feeling. She felt weak, tired and spent. He glanced at Eva, hoping for some sort of explanation on why this delivery was taking longer than expected. He couldn’t catch her eye because she was so focused on making sure Elizabeth delivers the baby all well and good.
  • What he wanted to say was something he couldn’t voice out because he didn’t want Elizabeth to hear it. Asher couldn’t deny the fact that he was getting scared. He wasn’t expecting any of this and he really wished that there was no problem. This was getting too long and even though he had no knowledge about birth deliveries and all, he knew that this was getting too damn long.
  • For the first time since his wife died, he was feeling scared. That gut feeling fear that makes him want to scream into the night. He hadn’t felt this scared in a very long time. It just seemed like a cloak of fear covered every part of him and took a strong hold in his heart.
