Chapter 23 Evacuation

• Dian Vosloo who is in his office is currently in a disheveled mood, in front of him is the accounting list of the resources that was spent for the war expedition. He had already bet everything on them taking control of Edevin and then sharing the profits with the other Lord's but all his plan went down the drain because of one unknown entity. How could just one person take out a whole fifty thousand it is theoretically and practically impossible but it did happen and he witnessed it with his very own eyes. For him it is an unfortunate event he wished he had never participated in, not only his he in debt now he also has his head full about Edevin suddenly invading them. Edevin already showed that it has the capabilities and resources needed to take his city whenever they want so it is a possibility that can come true, Dian Vosloo tries to think of any lord he can ally himself with that will be strong enough to protect him if Edevin does decide on an Invasion but then again to ally himself with a lord he would need to reimburse the lord. Where would he get the money from, the resources that was used is in the war is something that he borrowed from the city's merchants with the hopes of paying them back after taking over Edevin and the result of the expenditure turned out to be an utter failure with only fifteen percent of the total army he recruited for the expenditure.
