Chapter 3 I Agree To Divorce

  • Ivelle knew very well that it was impossible to keep him but she still had to try. She looked at him and said, "I agree to the divorce but I have conditions. Stay tonight and accompany me to Grandpa's funeral. I'll sign immediately after the funeral."
  • He narrowed his eyes, his dark eyes filled with a sarcastic smile and the corners of his lips moved slightly, "Please me." He released her, narrowed his eyes, and approached her ear. "Ivelle, everything depends on your own ability and it's useless to rely on your mouth alone."
  • His voice was very hoarse. His voice was with a touch of provocation and she knew what he meant. She put her hands around his waist and raised her head to reach him. The height gap between them was too big and it made her look funny and ridiculous.
  • Ivelle didn't know much about men and women. She intuitively reached out to untie the bath towel around his waist, and she heard the sound of his breathing in her ear. She knew he reacted but she couldn't tell what it was like. It was really true that she would only keep the one she liked in this way. Poor thing.
  • When the bath towel fell to the ground, Ivelle slipped her fingertips slowly but her hand was held down by him. She looked up and saw that his eyes were dark and vaguely encircling, "That's enough!"
  • Ivelle was stupefied because of those indifferent and cold words. She saw him pull over the bed his gray pajamas leisurely and elegantly put them on his body.
  • She was stupefied for a moment and then she realized that she was. Would he stay?
  • She was still feeling happy when she heard a woman's voice from the window with the faint sound of rain, "Jordan."
  • Ivelle was stupefied, she was not as quick as Jordan. She saw him step onto the balcony and then she saw him pull his coat gloomily and went out of the bedroom.
  • Outside the balcony, Nicole stood in the heavy rain. She was wearing a thin dress. She looked pitiful under the rain.
  • Jordan put the coat he brought down over her. Nicole hugged him and sobbed softly in his arms.
  • As she was looking at this scene, Ivelle suddenly understood that even though she was with Jordan for two years, she was still no better than a phone call from Nicole.
  • Jordan walked Nicole happily into the villa and took her upstairs. Ivelle stood at the top of the stairs, she was looking down at the two people who were drenched in the rain. She was blocking their way.
  • "Get out of the way!" Jordan spoke with a cold and surly tone. His pair of black eyes were looking at her in disgust.
  • Was she sad?
  • She didn't know, but what hurts more than the heart was when saw with her own eyes how Jordan cherished his beloved Nicole and how he trampled her heart.
  • "Jordan, when we got married, you promised your grandfather that as long as I am here, you wouldn't bring her here." This was the only place where Jordan and Ivelle were living together. Ivelle gave up many countless nights to Nicole, so why would she end up polluting the only place Ivelle had?
  • "Oh!" Jordan suddenly sneered. He pulled her and said in a cold voice, "Ivelle, you think highly of yourself."
  • What an ironic remark, Ivelle watched him happily entered the guest room, Ivelle could only watch as a bystander after all.
  • That night was destined to be unstable.
  • Nicole was caught in the rain outside. She was already weak. Heavy rain made her have a high fever. Jordan changed her clothes while he used the towels to cool her physically.
  • Maybe he was seeing her only as a hindrance. He gave her a cold look and said, "Go back to Astley's old house!"
  • She wouldn't be able to go back tonight.
  • Did he ask me to go back to Astley's old house at this time? How funny.
  • Ivelle was just a nuisance.
  • She was looking at Jordan for a long time, she didn't know what she should say to remind him how far the old house was, how late it was now and how unsafe it was for her because she was a woman.
  • However, he didn't care about this at all. What he really cared about was whether her presence would hinder Nicole's rest.
  • She tried to contain her sadness in her heart. She calmly said, "I'll just go back to my bedroom."
  • He didn't cherish her and she wouldn't ruin herself with him.
  • She turned away from the guest room. She met Brad Silverman who came in a hurry in the hallway. She saw that his slender body was still wearing black pajamas. It looked like he came in a hurry. He didn't change his shoes and his clothes were mostly wet.
