• Ivelle opened her eyes and saw Jordan looked down at her with no expression on his face. There was no light on the ward, and the lamp beside her hospital bed shone in the room which made him look more secretive and enigmatic.
• She just looked at him and did not open her mouth. She knew in her heart that he was angry. From the hotel to the hospital, he never said a word and just asked the attending doctor who examined her to see if there was anything else that was wrong.
• When the light was turned on, the nurse came in to change the dressing of her wounds. She noticed that the atmosphere was wrong, looked at them awkwardly, and left.
