• I fidget with my fingers as I sit on the bed and nervously look beside me at Lance and then next to him at the King. Lance had said he would tell me everything, but I’ve had to wait a full day for it.
• I’ve been a mess, stewing and worrying about what my mate is going to tell me. To pass the time, I’ve also been trying to put the puzzle pieces together to figure it out on my own, but it has been a failed attempt.
